Director of Communications HOPE worldwide New England
March 1997 – June 2003
1994 - 1997  Public Relations Specialist

Over the course of nine years, I built a successful, comprehensive communications program that included print, web, email, and video. My primary responsibilities were to plan and manage communication with 4,000 plus volunteers/donors and to direct special events, including an annual golf tournament. As we were a subsidiary of a larger nonprofit, I also managed relationships with those at our "corporate" office.

My most significant achievements were the development of several key communication tools used to inspire and inform volunteers and donors. The first was an annual report that included moving stories of how lives were being changed, success statistics and fundraising recaps. The second, was a powerful quarterly "video newsletter " with anchors and multiple segments, each telling the story of a child who had been fostered or adopted through our programs. These videos were shown throughout New England to keep volunteers updated and engaged.
